VOLUNTEER EFFORTS:

For many years PKAR sponsored a major basketball tournament at Adam Scott high school

For several years PKAR members worked as volunteers at the annual Victoria Day Fireworks at Crary Park.

200 pairs of glasses were collected for an eye clinic in Guatamala

In 1997 & 1998 participated in the Heart & Stroke Big Bike Ride

In 2000 PKAR collected suitcases and backpacks for the Youth Emergency Shelter

In 2000 PKAR also collected coats for the homeless

In 2001 PKAR collected Food Bank donations, Humane Society items; back packs; personal hygiene products for YES/CROSSROADS and participated in the Diabetes walk.


SANTA’S SLEIGH

Since the early 1980’s PKAR members have partnered with the Childrens Aid society by volunteering their time to man the Santa Sleigh.


HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

PKAR members work with the local chapter by assisting them in finding lots to build on and also volunteer their time to help with local build projects.
